PART Operates Guilford County Transportation Services

Effective November 14th PART began operating the transportation services for Guilford County residents.

Guilford County Transportation Services is provided for residents within Guilford County as follows:

  • Non-emergency Medical Appointments - to doctors' offices, hospitals, dialysis centers, clinics, dentists and other health-related visits medical appoints for persons in need. Guilford County residents who have a Medicaid pink or blue card and who have no other means of transportation receive free transportation to medical appointments. Transportation services may include bus passes, gas vouchers, taxis or vans. Medicaid recipients must complete a transportation assessment form before service can begin.
  • Employment Transportation - to work sites, work-related activities, job training and job fairs. Assistance may include bus passes, gas vouchers, car repairs and taxi or van services. Job access transportation is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
  • Continuing Education Transportation - provides a solution for persons who want to continue their education beyond high school. If you do not have access to public transit and live outside the city limits of Greensboro or High Point, the service is there for you.
  • Senior Services Transportation – provided throughout Guilford County for senior programs, meals and adult day care. Provides relief to caregivers by offering transportation to persons attending adult day care programs.

Eligible residents may call (336) 641-4848 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, to make your trip reservations. Drivers cannot schedule trips for you. Reservations must be made by 12 noon on the working day before your trip.
