Buddy Ride Testimonials

"On January 19, 2012 I visited Greensboro for a job interview.  I took the PART Shuttle Bus from the airport to the main station. On the way, the driver was very helpful.  He picked up a passenger along the way who he introduced as Ray Coble, Buddy Ride Coordinator for PART. I just had to send this letter to let someone know that Ray Coble was and is an unexpected treat to travelers in Greensboro.  He went above and beyond his duties and responsibilities. I have met a vast number of people during my years as a judge and rarely do you find one who is as helpful and pleasant as Ray was to me." - Irma J. Chenevert (Click here to view the whole letter)

"Dear Ray, My name is Ashley Briggs and I met you on December 12, 2011. I was trying to find my way around using the bus transportation when you kindly offered me a buddy pass. I will never forget that day and your sincere generosity! You went above and beyond to help send me in the right direction…and you did! You made the whole experience so much easier and much more pleasant! I really enjoyed talking with you and I will never forget you!" - Ashley Briggs

"On behalf of the Carter G. Woodson Administration Team, Faculty, Staff, and Students we would like to thank you for all your support and kindness shown during our Transportation Field Experience. This expercience provided our studnets self sufficient attributes, time management skills, independent budgeting and the opportunity to explore and synthesize the process of various transportation resources."

"My name is Sarah Garcia and I would like to send Mr. Coble a thank you note. I live in Statesville and I go to college in Greensboro.  I have to take 4 buses and for me reading the bus  schedule was not easy. not only that but the thought of knowing that I may get off at the wrong stop made riding the bus way too confusing. When I called to request a buddy ride. Mr. Coble was very friendly and explained to me everything I should do in order to have a good trip from Mocksville to Greensboro. He let me know about the transfer passes and he explained the whole trip to me, step by step. as soon as I got off from one of the buses he was right the at the door waiting for me. that was really nice.  He rode with me on one other buses. and he waited with me for the next bus. he was prepared he had the bus routes on hand  and was ready to answer any question. I had a good time. and I will definitely ride the buses again. the buses were so comfortable, quiet, and easy to use (getting the tickets, transfer passes or paying in cash) and I would recommend the buddy ride if I know  a person who needs it."

On May 12, 2011, we received a letter commending Mr. Ray Coble, PART Buddy Ride Coordinator. The letter reads as follows, “Madam Cheek’s Extraordinary Ladies of Distinction – Red Hatters are so happy
to be a part of the PART transportation family. My name is Ruth Coble and I am the President/Queen of our Chapter (…and no we are not related). Since being introduced to the PART system during a buddy ride with Mr. Ray Coble, the Red Hatters have continued to travel to our outings using PART. Since the very beginning Mr. Coble made us feel like family. He was friendly, thorough and treated everyone with the utmost respect. He went above and beyond not only by assisting us but our mascots as well, (2) 40 inch Barbie dolls. We truly do appreciate Mr. Coble and PART considering that most of us are on a fixed income. We do not know of anyone that is as dedicated to their job as Mr. Coble. I personally have worked in the corporate world for 38 years and recognize a valuable employee when I see one. Mr. Coble is EXTRAORDINARY! His hard work and dedication are an inspiration to us all. We want you to know that you have a winner in your organization!”

"Good Morning Ray, I wanted to let you know that I traveled my ‘school bus route’ last Wednesday & didn’t have any problems at all. I caught the 9:40 PART to Winston Transit Center, had a 15 min wait then caught WSTA to Forsyth Tech. The return trip was problem free as well although I cut it a little short-WSTA arrives at Transit Ctr at 2 PM-PART leaves Transit Ctr at 2 PM but they were still loading when I got to the PART stop. My school schedule has changed & it looks like I will be using PART/WSTA 5 days a week beginning in late August. I really appreciate everything that you did for me." - Philip Collins
