Many businesses and organizations across the state are proactively working to support more sustainable, eco-friendly practices. Last year, we “challenged” people across the Triad to try less-polluting transportation alternatives. More than 2,500 people pledged to carpool, ride the bus, bike, walk or telecommute instead of driving alone! As a result, participants saved approximately $138,000 in fuel expenses while reducing over 1.2 Million vehicle miles of travel!
