Get On Board Day

Get On Board Day is a national awareness and advocacy day that is all about encouraging people to support public transportation and showcases the benefits it brings to communities.

The Piedmont Authority for Regional Transportation (PART), Greensboro Transit Authority (GTA), High Point Transit System (HPTS) and Winston-Salem Transit Authority (WSTA) celebrated on April 25th with other public transportation systems nationwide to participate in National Get On Board Day

In recognition of Get On Board for Public Transit Day PART, GTA, HP Transit and WSTA offered FREE rides on all bus routes!

Thank you to all the passengers, community leaders, and to the local media for the huge success of Get On Board for Public Transit Day! We were happy to see so many new faces on the buses and see public transportation highlighted on the TV and print news stations. We held a passenger outreach event at the CTC during the morning thanking passengers for riding. You can see all the photos taken on our Facebook Page
