PART Express Inclement Weather Service

ATTENTION: All PART Routes are currently running regular schedules. We will post any service adjustments or cancellations due to weather on our Service Alerts page. View TransLoc for up-to-date service announcements on route delays.

Many people rely on PART to get where they need to go, regardless of the weather, which is why we do everything possible to provide safe and reliable transit service during inclement weather. In an effort to be ready for adverse weather conditions, PART has created a three-tiered Inclement Weather Plan. 

  • Tier 1: Route will begin late or be cancelled.
  • Tier 2: Route will be limited during the day, starting late, and ending early. Some routes cancelled. 
  • Tier 3: Route will end early. 
  • In extreme cases, we may need to cancel an individual route or all PART Express service. 

Please find links below for inclement weather plans for each route. Inclement weather tiers are based on the weather conditions and may be modified based on the severity of the situation. Be sure to follow us on social media or join our email list for the latest updates regarding inclement weather. 

TIER 1 INCLEMENT WEATHER 

TIER 2 INCLEMENT WEATHER

  • Route 1, 2, & 3: Limited service hourly from 9:15am until 7:15pm (See Schedule)
  • Route 4: No Service
  • Route 6: Route begins at 4:15pm northbound and ends at 6:20pm (See Schedule)
  • Route 9: No Service
  • Route 10: No Service
  • Route 17: Route begins at 9:20am and ends at 6:40pm (See Schedule)
  • Route 20: Service begins at 9:45am and ends at 6:45pm (See Schedule)
  • Route 21: Service begins at 9:45am and ends at 6:45pm  (See Schedule)
  • Route 22: Service begins at 9:45am and ends at 6:45pm  (See Schedule)
  • Route 23: Service begins at 9:45am and ends at 6:45pm  (See Schedule)
  • Route 24: Service begins at 9:45am and ends at 6:45pm  (See Schedule)

TIER 3 INCLEMENT WEATHER

  • Route 1, 2, & 3: Service will run normal in AM then hourly ending at 7:15pm (See Schedule)
  • Route 4: Service will run normal schedule; last run westbound will be cancelled (See Schedule)
  • Route 6: Service will run normal schedule; last run northbound will be cancelled (See Schedule)
  • Route 9: Will run regular schedule (See Schedule)
  • Route 10: Service will run normal schedule; last run northbound and southbound will be cancelled (See Schedule)
  • Route 17: Service will run normal schedule; 6:50pm eastbound run will be cancelled (See Schedule)
  • Route 20: Service ends at 6:45pm (See Schedule)
  • Route 21: Service ends at 6:45pm  (See Schedule)
  • Route 22: Service ends at 6:45pm  (See Schedule)
  • Route 23: Service ends at 6:45pm  (See Schedule)
  • Route 24: Service ends at 6:45pm  (See Schedule)

SATURDAY INCLEMENT WEATHER

  • Tier 1 Route 1, 2, & 3 Saturday: Service begins at 9:15am (See Schedule)
  • Tier 2 Route 1, 2, & 3 Saturday Service will run 9:15am - 6:45pm. (See Schedule)
  • Tier 3 Route 1, 2, & 3 Saturday Service will run 6:45am - 6:45pm.  (See Schedule)
  • North/South Route: Service runs on demand only between the same hours as the Route 1, 2, 3 schedules. Call 336-883-7278 to schedule a pick-up.

Inclement weather impacts our ability to provide service for a variety of reasons including a limited workforce, reduced resources, and most importantly safety concerns and precautions.
